Dans de nombreux pays en d\u00e9veloppement, les transports publics officiels sont tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9s en raison des restrictions budg\u00e9taires du gouvernement et d&rsquo;une mauvaise planification. Ainsi, la qualit\u00e9 du service rendu aux usagers par les entreprises priv\u00e9es proposant des options de mobilit\u00e9 partag\u00e9e (souvent appel\u00e9 \u00ab transport adapt\u00e9 \u00bb) est un facteur important pour am\u00e9liorer les conditions de vie et de travail. Ce sujet a \u00e9t\u00e9 abord\u00e9 dans un article de recherche r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 dans le Journal of Transport Geography (disponible <a href=\"https:\/\/authors.elsevier.com\/c\/1dMnK3RpEOPe5u\">sur ce lien<\/a>), par G. Falchetta, M. Noussan et A.T. Hammad.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>\u00c9valuer l&rsquo;accessibilit\u00e9 et la performance du transport adapt\u00e9<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>L&rsquo;analyse compare les services de transport adapt\u00e9 dans sept grandes villes d&rsquo;Afrique subsaharienne, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la r\u00e9cente publication des donn\u00e9es <a href=\"https:\/\/gtfs.org\/\">General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS)<\/a> dans le projet <a href=\"https:\/\/digitaltransport4africa.org\/\">DigitalTransport4Africa<\/a>. Notre objectif est de produire des mesures comparatives d&rsquo;accessibilit\u00e9, de r\u00e9seau et de qualit\u00e9 de service. Nous analysons les villes d&rsquo;Abidjan, Accra, Addis-Abeba, Freetown, Harare, Kampala et Nairobi.<\/p>\n<p>Nos r\u00e9sultats permettent une \u00e9valuation et une comparaison de premier ordre des diff\u00e9rentes caract\u00e9ristiques cruciales du transport adapt\u00e9 dans ces villes, mettant en lumi\u00e8re les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s de transport et les dynamiques de s\u00e9gr\u00e9gation urbaine. L&rsquo;analyse et les mesures produites peuvent aider les planificateurs des syst\u00e8mes de transport dans les grandes villes des pays \u00e0 faible revenu.<\/p>\n<p>Avec les donn\u00e9es GTFS disponibles, et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres m\u00e9thodes et donn\u00e9es d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es dans la litt\u00e9rature, nous avons pu estimer l&rsquo;accessibilit\u00e9 des services de transport adapt\u00e9 pour les citoyens. La figure ci-dessous montre une carte d&rsquo;accessibilit\u00e9 pour la ville de Nairobi, qui montre comment la distance de l&rsquo;itin\u00e9raire le plus proche (en minutes de marche) varie \u00e0 travers la ville. La d\u00e9finition d&rsquo;une norme pr\u00e9cise, telle que le GTFS, permet aux gens de comparer efficacement le service dans diff\u00e9rentes villes \u00e0 travers le monde. Alors qu&rsquo;une grande attention est souvent accord\u00e9e \u00e0 la disponibilit\u00e9 de donn\u00e9es abondantes, avec le concept familier de Big Data, nous pensons qu&rsquo;il est \u00e9galement crucial de souligner l&rsquo;importance de la qualit\u00e9 de ces donn\u00e9es. Un nombre seul n&rsquo;a souvent aucun sens : il est important de savoir ce qu&rsquo;il repr\u00e9sente exactement et comment il a \u00e9t\u00e9 obtenu, de comprendre quelle est la meilleure fa\u00e7on de l&rsquo;utiliser. Les technologies num\u00e9riques offrent la possibilit\u00e9 de r\u00e9duire le co\u00fbt de la collecte et de la gestion des donn\u00e9es, mais nous devons \u00e9galement investir du temps et des efforts pour fournir des \u00ab\u00a0m\u00e9tadonn\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb utiles, qui d\u00e9crivent en d\u00e9tail comment les donn\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9es, avec quelles limites et hypoth\u00e8ses.<\/p>\n<p>Ceci est particuli\u00e8rement important pour les plateformes qui collectent des donn\u00e9es de mobilit\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de plusieurs sources, et encore plus d&rsquo;utilisateurs finaux uniques. Pour rendre diff\u00e9rents emplacements comparables, les donn\u00e9es doivent \u00eatre collect\u00e9es avec les m\u00eames hypoth\u00e8ses. La dur\u00e9e d&rsquo;un d\u00e9placement en transport adapt\u00e9 sera (souvent) diff\u00e9rente selon l&rsquo;horaire officiel ou le temps r\u00e9el pass\u00e9, pour plusieurs raisons, mais g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en raison de la congestion. Il en est de m\u00eame pour la fr\u00e9quence des d\u00e9placements, la localisation des arr\u00eats, etc. Nous avons besoin de donn\u00e9es qui repr\u00e9sentent autant que possible le monde r\u00e9el, bien que ce ne soit malheureusement pas toujours possible. L&rsquo;\u00e9volution future des transports urbains, en particulier dans les grandes villes qui affichent une \u00e9norme augmentation de la population et une expansion rapide, sera le r\u00e9sultat de multiples dimensions, y compris les effets de la pand\u00e9mie actuelle et la num\u00e9risation des emplois et des services. La disponibilit\u00e9 de donn\u00e9es de haute qualit\u00e9, y compris en crowdsourcing, peut repr\u00e9senter une valeur ajout\u00e9e pour adapter la planification et la gestion des transports, en particulier lorsque les donn\u00e9es sont mises \u00e0 jour r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. L&rsquo;objectif final est d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie des citadins. Un transport public de bonne qualit\u00e9 peut augmenter l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s aux opportunit\u00e9s, ainsi que r\u00e9duire les impacts environnementaux par rapport aux soci\u00e9t\u00e9s bas\u00e9es sur les voitures priv\u00e9es.
